| Q) |
While
on the Yukon Sightseeing Tour, will
we see wildlife?
|
| A) |
The Yukon
Sightseeing Tour travels about
38 miles past the White Pass Summit
Area to Bove Island. Those 38
miles are far less traveled than
the 17 miles from Skagway to the
White Pass Summit Area, so the
chances of seeing wildlife are
much better. We
occasionally see
black bear, grizzly bear, wolf,
coyote, fox, moose, mountain sheep,
mountain goat, mountain caribou,
woodland caribou, and mule deer.

| Q) |
While
on the Yukon Sightseeing Tour, will
a lunch be provided?
|
| A) |
Since
the Yukon Sightseeing Tour is
only
4 hours in length we do not provide
a lunch or snack. After
your tour we recommend the Alaska
Gourmet
Cafe, located on 5th Street, for
the best Sandwiches, Salmon Chowder,
and Buffalo Chili in Skagway.
You may bring a snack with you on
the bus if you choose.
|
| |
NOTE: We do ask that the only
beverage you bring is water, in a
secure water bottle.
|
| Q) |
What is the activity
level of the Yukon Sightseeing Tour
- what ages is it appropriate for?
|
| A) |
The
Yukon Sightseeing Tour is appropriate
for all ages, having plenty of stops
so children do not feel trapped in
a vehicle and little walking so those
who may have difficulty walking are
not over taxed. |
